Frozen Four Miler
February 21st, 2016
The second annual Frozen Four Miler saw participants tackle a muddy course in unseasonably warm conditions. Competitors galloped through mud, climbed steep hills and navigated tricky techincal trails. For the truly insane there was a bathing suit division who suffered through the full four mile course.
Streaking to the finish line first was TJ Moore with a time of (27:20), a familiar face at NEWBSANITY events. Jack Kuhn finished just off of the TJ's pace but with a time of 27:27, but was quick enough to secure the top spot in the bathing suit class ahead of Logan Nagel.
The top female finisher was Newbsanity regular Sara Korba (30:49), who held off series newcomer Christine Reynolds (31:37). Taking top honors in the bathing suit class was Jennifer Reis in a time of 33:30.
We would also like to recognize the Kenegery Award Winners (spirit award): Will Manvell, Bill Crandall and Jake Biglow. These competitors repeated there post-race snow angel celebration but due to a lack of snow had to do snow angels in the melting slush on top of a Newbsanity water obstacle.
Specail thanks to Pullano Physical Therapy and Mark Curley of Edward Jones Investments for there continued support of Newbsanity events.
